REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR VIDEO PRODUCTION SERVICES The Hopi Education Endowment Fund (HEEF) is seeking a provider in the area of DVD Video Production. The contract will involve the production of a six-minute video that is designed to provide potential donors and tribal audiences the history, significance, purpose, data and future plans of the HEEF. The video must be easily reproducible as a DVD. The Provider will work collaboratively with the HEEF staff during all aspects of production. All candidates must provide a proposal that will include all costs associated with the production of a video on the Hopi Reservation located in rural northeastern Arizona. Activities include, but are not limited to: videography, still photography, interviews, editing and other associated production costs. The HEEF staff will work with the Hopi Tribe to obtain the proper cultural/tribal clearances for videotaping on the Hopi reservation. All candidates are asked to submit a proposal that includes a) Timeline with tasks associated to video production b) a resume outlining your prior work in video production, c) Budget with line items identified and justification and breakdown of the costs involved, d) Two DVD samples of your work and e) three current references, at least one of which is a former client, knowledgeable of your video production skills. The budget should include the reproduction of 200 copies of the final video product and a master copy from which additional copies can be reproduced. The Hopi Education Endowment Fund (HEEF) is seeking a provider in the area of DVD Video Production. The contract will involve the production of a six-minute video that is designed to provide potential donors and tribal audiences the history, significance, purpose, data and future plans of the HEEF. The video must be easily reproducible as a DVD. A majority of the creative development and script will be developed by the HEEF, however, the Provider will work collaboratively with the HEEF staff to finalize all aspects of production. Activities include, but are not limited to: Videography, Still photography, Interviews, Editing and other production tasks associated with the completion of the six minute video. The HEEF will retain the copyright of the video. Candidate must: * Have prior experience in video production * Submit two DVD samples of work * Submit three current references, at least one of which is a former client, that we can contact * Provide all equipment needed to complete the job * Produce and submit 200 copies of the completed video to the HEEF * Give the master copy of the video to the HEEF * Have the ability to work with a team * Adhere to all cultural restrictions as determined by the Hopi Tribe. The HEEF staff will work with the Hopi Tribe to obtain the proper cultural/tribal clearances for videotaping on the Hopi reservation. * Produce copy of video in digital format suitable for use on the HEEF website. Compensation: Compensation is negotiable and will be administered through a contract. We anticipate the successful candidate will submit a proposal between $3,000-$6,000. Note: The HEEF was created under section 7871 of the IRS Tax Code, which is equivalent to 501 C (3)-tax status, thus any in-kind donation included in the proposal is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
